AI Suggested Amounts Guide

The AI Suggested Amounts feature personalizes donation experiences by dynamically adjusting the suggested giving amounts shown on your checkout, based on donor-specific data.

When enabled, this feature helps increase conversion rates and average gift size by presenting amounts that are tailored to each supporter's giving behavior and capacity.

What Are AI Suggested Amounts?

AI Suggested Amounts enhance your checkout experience by analyzing donor-specific data to intelligently adjust the preset donation options. This means a first-time donor and a recurring major donor won’t see the same default amounts—each will see options that are more appropriate to their giving history and behavior.

How It Works

When a supporter is logged in and the feature is enabled, the platform uses an RFM-based model (Recency, Frequency, Monetary value) to modify the default suggested amounts in real time.

Factors considered include:

  • Donation history (how often, how recently, and how much they give)

  • Supporter location

  • Giving patterns across similar donors

  • Propensity and behavior inferred from past interactions

The AI uses this data to subtly increase or decrease the amounts shown—helping you find the “sweet spot” for each donor.

How to Enable AI Suggested Amounts

  1. Navigate to the Checkout Element you’d like to enhance

  2. Scroll to the Suggested Amounts section

  3. Check the box: "Enhance suggested amounts with AI"

  4. Save your changes

Note: The feature only adjusts suggested amounts when the supporter is logged in, so be sure your donor portal or login flow is active.

What Changes for the Donor?

  • The suggested amounts you configured are still used as a baseline

  • The platform uses donor-specific data to tailor those amounts

  • Donors see options that are likely to feel more relevant and achievable, which can increase both donation likelihood and size

This feature makes your donation forms smarter and more effective—without adding any extra work for your team.
