How do I categorize my organization's donations into separate funds?

Designations give you the ability to organize donation revenue into separate streams according to your organization's specific projects or programs. Designations also allow your supporters the ability to allocate their money towards initiatives they are passionate about within your organization.

All revenue will still be transferred to your organization's primary bank account. If you do not choose to create designations, all donation revenue will be streamed to your default General Fund.

Designations appear on the supporter's Checkout page.

Ready to Get Started?

Designations can be created by clicking into the Payments section in the left side menu and then selecting the Designations tab. Simply click the "+" sign to create a new Designation.

Then add your Designation details.

Designation Code can be used to help identify the designation in your CRM/CHMS.

Choose which fund to display as "default" on your general Donor Portal by clicking into the Designation and clicking the Actions dropdown. Then select "Make Default." From here, you can also "Edit", "Archive", or "Merge" your Designation.

Choose to display a specific designation or lists of designations in your checkout by clicking into the Designations tab when you customize your checkout element. Set fixed designations, allow supporters to choose between designations, preselect Designation Lists, or turn off the ability for supporters to choose a designation at checkout under the Designations tab.

You can click into the name of your designation to get an overview of the designation's associated payments and elements.

You can restore any designations you have archived by clicking the "Restore" button under "Actions".

You can also Merge designations" under "Actions". Select the record you want to merge and the master record you are merging the record into.

You can choose which qualities to pull from each record.

Then review and confirm the merge.
