What are they?

Test accounts are a way for you to have a dashboard and portal dedicated to testing your wildest ideas and exploring new features all while not having to be charged for payments you make.

How do I access it?

By default all organizations that sign up through the WeGive Dashboard get access to two accounts. For example, if I was to sign up as Charlie's Non Profit, I would get access to my dashboard and be signed in as such initially. If you click your name in the upper right hand corner, click Change Login, you will be presented by two options:

  1. Charlie's Non Profit

  2. [TEST] Charlies' Non Proft

Click the login button next to the account prefixed with [TEST] and you are now in your test account.

How do I use it?

The top use cases for a test account are as follow:

  1. Integrations

    1. Custom Fields

    2. Custom Mapping

  2. Customizing and testing checkout configurations

  3. New Features

    1. See a feature you aren't using yet but want to do so in a safe environment -- use a test account

  4. Whatever you want...

    1. No that's not a copout, it's your environment to do what you want with!

What if I don't have one?

Please send an email to [email protected] and request we set one up for you.

Other notes

  • Engagement works as normal in test, so make sure you don't accidentally blast your entire supporter base with emails, sms, platform messages, direct mail etc.
