What is the Donor Portal?
The Donor Portal allows individuals to log in and access a personalized dashboard with the following capabilities:
- View giving and fundraising history
- Manage recurring donations and payment methods
- Access and download tax documentation
- Update contact and household information
- Create and manage fundraisers
- Review impact stories and cards
- Manage communication preferences
Key Features and How to Use Them
1. Giving History & Impact Overview
Upon logging in, donors will see a snapshot of their lifetime impact, including:
- Total amount donated
- Total amount fundraised
- A timeline view by year or the last nine months
They can also view recent activity, including:
- Donations
- Fundraiser creation
- Event registrations
- Impact cards or stories they were tagged in
2. Managing Recurring Giving
Navigate to Recurring Giving to:
- View active or inactive plans
- See details such as amount, frequency, next charge date, creation date, number of installments, designation, and payment method
- Edit a plan to:
- Pause for a specific period (1, 3, or 6 months) or indefinitely
- Update amount, frequency, next charge date, designation, tribute details, and end date
- Change or add a new payment method
- Choose to cover processing fees
- Important: Pausing indefinitely retains history and installment data; deleting a plan removes all associated history

Click Review Changes to confirm any edits.
3. Pledges
Users can:
- View existing pledges
- Track pledge status and payment progress
4. Fundraisers
From the portal, donors can:
- View all fundraisers they’ve created, given to, or archived
- Create a new fundraiser using the top navigation arrow
5. Event Registrations
Users can access and manage any events they’ve registered for, including event details and ticket information.
6. Making New Contributions
The top navigation includes quick access to:
- Donation Checkout (via dollar sign or “Give” button)
- Fundraiser Creation (arrow icon)
- Pledge Creation (gift icon)
These use the default checkout configuration associated with the portal.
7. Impact Cards & Stories
Donors can view:
- Impact Cards they’ve been tagged in
- Stories showing the tangible outcome of their contributions
8. Communication Preferences
In the Preferences section, donors can:
- Globally opt in or out of communications
- Subscribe to or unsubscribe from specific communication lists
9. Tax Statements & Giving History
Under Tax Statements and History, users can:
- Download tax receipts for eligible donations (if enabled)
- View donation and soft credit history (note: soft credits are not included in tax receipts)
10. Payment Methods
Users can manage their saved payment methods:
- Add or remove payment methods
- Archive old methods
- Set a default method for future donations
11. Profile & Household Settings
Personal Information
Donors can update:
- Preferred email and phone
- Mailing and billing addresses
- Display name and personal details
These changes sync to the main platform dashboard.
Household View
- View a household-level giving summary by linking with another member (e.g., family)
- Manage household members via the Manage button and ellipsis menu:
- Invite new members via email
- Remove or view current members
- Invite new members via email
Linked Companies or Groups
- View associated companies or group affiliations (if applicable)
12. Login & Access Management
- View who has access to the portal, including email, phone number, and last login
- Add or update login methods for additional users
