Let your supporters or partners pay you directly for things that are technically not a donation, but are rather in exchange for goods or services. Those giving amounts will match into your CRM differently than a donation opportunity and the payouts will be treated differently when sent to your accounting software. Service Revenue transactions will not display in your donor's statements for tax purposes, and receipting is treated differently.

When supporters purchase tickets for your Event Campaigns, the tickets are considered "goods or services," rather than a donation, so you will see those payments display under the Service Revenue tab.
