WeGive's Communication List is designed to enhance how you manage supporter communications.

Audience Filtering and Tagging:

Communication Lists allow you to easily filter for targeted recipients when creating messages. Communication Lists allow you to select predefined lists of supporters to define your message recipients.

Although you can use the audience rule groups and filters at the bottom of your messages to filter for different groups of supporters to receive your engagements, the Communication List feature allows you to create specific supporter lists using our "Tag" function for more targeted messaging.

Manage Subscriptions:

Communication Lists also allow your supporters to manage their message subscription preferences. When creating Communication Lists, you can either set them as opt-in only lists or you can create them as tag-based auto subscriptions. Tag-based lists automatically include donors when specific tags are added, while opt-in lists require manual subscription. Communication preferences can be managed from the Donor Portal.

Communication lists are organized into three sections: subscribed, unsubscribed, and unspecified. All lists are visible on all donor profiles, regardless of donor eligibility. If a donor is auto-tagged in a list, they will be automatically opted into the Communication List. If the donor is not auto-tagged, they will remain unspecified until they decide to opt-in or opt-out of the list.

Get Started:

To get started, select "Communication Lists" from the Engagement tab in your navigation bar.

Click the blue "plus" sign and add an external name, external description, select the visibility settings, and select any auto-tagged groups from your supporter tags that you want to pre opt-in to the message.

Once created, you can add this Communication List to your messages to target specific groups of people in your communications and donors can manage their preferences from the Donor Portal "Profile Settings".

You can also view metrics regarding the subscription from the overview page.

This feature is great for allowing supporters to opt out of specific messages (i.e. recurring plan notifications, daily emails, etc). By leveraging the Communication List feature, you can better manage supporter communications and improve engagement strategies, making your interactions more personalized and effective.
