Manage supporter registrations, attendance, and payments for your events
The Event Registrations feature in WeGive allows you to view all supporters who have registered for your events, manage their registration statuses (approved, attended, waitlisted, etc.), and connect payments to registrations. Whether you're tracking RSVPs in advance or manually checking in guests at the door, this table gives you complete control over your event attendance records.
Accessing the Event Registrations Table
- In the WeGive dashboard, go to the Donor Portal tab.
- Click on Event Registrations from the sidebar.
This will open the registrations table with a comprehensive view of all registered supporters across your events.
Using the Registrations Table
The table displays the following information:
- Registration ID
- Registration Date & Timestamp
- Supporter Name & Email
- Ticket Name
- Ticket Quantity
- Event Name
- Registration Status
(Approved, Rejected, Attended, Pending, Waitlisted, Unregistered)
Filter Options
You can filter the registration table using the following fields:
- Registration Date
- Donor
- Household
- Event Name
- Custom Questions/Answers
- Status:
- Pending
- Approved
- Rejected
- Waitlisted
- Attended
- Unregistered
- Pending
Managing Registrations
Status Management
You can change a registrant’s status directly from the table or from their detailed view.
Available status actions:
- Approve
- Reject
- Waitlist
- Mark as Attended
- Unregister
Note: Waitlisting a registrant doesn’t automatically notify or trigger action; it simply flags them for manual review.
Bulk Actions
From the registration table, you can also:
- Archive registrations
- Tag donors with Supporter Tags
- Export the list
Viewing and Editing a Registration
Clicking the registration timestamp opens a detailed view where you can:
- Review and update registration status
- Edit details such as:
- Donor
- Registration date and time
- Associated campaign
- Status
- Linked transaction/payment
- Donor
You’ll also see:
- Event Name
- Event Date & Location
- Ticket Name and Quantity
- Amount Paid
- Custom Question Answers
- Registration ID
Registering Someone Manually
You can register a supporter manually from the Event Page:
- Go to the Event linked from the registration or events section.
- Click the Register Guest icon (envelope icon in the top right corner).
- Select a Supporter via Rule Group.
- Choose the Ticket.
- Click Register.
Important: This does not automatically charge the donor. You must manually create a payment.
Charging for a Manual Registration
- After registering a supporter, go to the Payments table.
- Create a new Payment for that donor.
- Enter the amount that matches the event ticket.
- In the payment form, select the Registration ID associated with the manual registration.
- Submit the payment.
The payment will now be properly linked to the registration record.
Best Practices
- Use tags to segment attendees (e.g., “VIP Guest,” “Waitlist Approved”).
- Filter by status to manage pending approvals ahead of the event.
- Use audit logs for transparency around registration and payment edits.
- Always connect manual registrations to a payment to ensure reconciliation.
