Platform Overview: Getting Started with WeGive
This guide provides a high-level overview of WeGive’s dashboard and key features to help new users navigate and manage their fundraising tools effectively.
Dashboard Overview

The dashboard offers customizable time filters (e.g., last month, last 30 days, last year) to track donations.

View the count and total sum of payments, and access visual summaries of KPIs and giving activity.
Checkout Customization

Found under the Elements > Checkout tab.

Customize your default checkout with:

Title, description, and image
-
Fixed or selectable designations (configured under the Payments > Designations tab)

Custom questions
-
Thank-you video or image
-

Preview Mode lets you run test transactions that won’t charge your card.

Once finalized, click Implement to generate a shareable link.

Attaching a campaign will update the URL (great for embedding behind website donate buttons).

Campaigns
-
Create campaigns under the Campaigns tab.

Add campaign names, goals, and attach them to checkouts for segmented tracking.
Payments

Access under Payments > All Payments.

Filter by checkout, method (e.g., cash, check, card), type (recurring, offline, etc.), or more.

Export payment data via the Data > Exports tab.
Donor Records

Click into a supporter from the Supporters tab to view:

Contact details and communication preferences

Donor portal access and login history
-
Related payments, recurring plans, pledges, tax docs, and payment methods

Use the Actions tab to:

Record offline donations (cash/check) and attach to campaigns or designations

Charge a donor directly and configure recurring plan details

Recurring Plans

Add/edit frequency, start dates, or pause/delete existing plans from the donor record.
Triggered Messages

Found under the Engagements tab.

Customize and automate emails such as "Payment Success" messages using:

Merge tags for personalization

Rule groups to target specific segments (e.g., donors to a specific designation)

Send test emails or preview as a specific donor.
Donor Portal Customization

Customize branding (images, color themes).
