What Are Campaigns?
Campaigns in WeGive are tools designed to internally aggregate, organize, and analyze your organization's data effectively. Campaigns help manage data relevant to specific goals, timeframes, and activities.
Creating a Campaign
When creating a campaign, you'll input:
- Name: Identify your campaign clearly.
- Goal (Optional): Set an internal organizational goal, such as revenue targets.
- Start and End Dates: Define the campaign period, particularly important when sending a specific message or series of messages. These dates help you track performance over time and signify when messaging stops.
How Data Is Related to Campaigns
Campaigns can be associated with various objects, including:
- Payments:
- Donations or service revenue linked directly to a campaign.
- Supporters:
- Connected indirectly via payments, peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraisers, sent messages, or donor journeys.
- P2P Fundraisers:
- Associated with a campaign through P2P create or preset elements. Donations from these fundraisers automatically link to the campaign.
- Messages:
- Assign a Campaign ID to messages. All sent messages under this ID appear under the campaign, including in the Outbox for specific donors.
- Journeys:
- Link journeys to a campaign so donors traversing the journey inherit the Campaign ID.

- Actions (edit, archive, copy) are accessible via the ellipses menu on each campaign row.
Using campaigns strategically allows your organization to streamline and enhance data analysis, communication tracking, and overall performance evaluation.
