Automatically send fresh content from any RSS feed directly to your supporters’ inboxes. Whether it's new blog posts, news updates, podcast episodes, or more—RSS-to-Email lets you automate it all.
What is RSS-to-Email?
The RSS-to-Email feature connects any RSS feed to your email channel, so every time new content is published, it’s pulled into a templated email and sent to your audience—automatically.
How to Set It Up
1. Go to RSS-to-Email
- From your dashboard, go to Engagement > RSS-to-Email
- Click Create New
2. Paste in Your RSS Feed URL
Enter the RSS feed URL you want to use.
Example formats:
Make sure the feed is valid and publicly accessible.
3. Set Message Details
Fill in the basic setup fields as you would for email:
- Message Type: Choose "Transactional" or "Marketing"
- Message Name: For internal tracking (e.g. "Weekly Blog Digest")
- Channel: Email
- From / To Addresses: Choose who the message is coming from and who will receive it
- Subject Line: Example: "See What’s New This Week"
4. Customize the Email Template
Click Open Editor to design your email layout using tags from the RSS feed. You will find the contextualized variables from the RSS feed by typing the @ symbol or using the "Merge Tags".
The available tags depend on your specific feed but often include:
- {{ title }} – The title of the content
- {{ link }} – A URL to the full post
- {{ description }} – A short summary or snippet
- {{ pubDate }} – The publication date
- {{ image }} – Optional, if your feed includes images or thumbnails
Pro Tip: Add a header, intro text, and a CTA like “Read More” to guide your readers.
5. Set Your Schedule
- Choose when your emails should go out (e.g. daily, weekly)
- Pick your start date and time
- Emails will only be sent when there’s new content in the feed
6. Save and Set Live
Once you’re happy with everything, click Save and Set Live. Your RSS-to-Email campaign is now active!
