Installing the WeGive Salesforce Managed Package

To start using the WeGive4SF integration, you’ll need to install our managed Salesforce package. Follow the instructions below based on the type of Salesforce org you’re using.

Step 1: Choose the Right Link

Depending on the environment, use the correct installation URL below:

  • Sandbox or Scratch Orgs

  • Production or Developer Orgs

Tip: Make sure you're logged into the appropriate Salesforce org before clicking the link.


Step 2: Use a Profile With Admin-Level Access

You must be logged in as a System Administrator to install the package. If you're seeing an error like:

“This package can’t be installed. Insufficient Privileges.”

That means the logged-in user doesn’t have the required permissions to install packages. You’ll need to either:

  • Switch to a System Administrator profile, or

  • Ask your Salesforce admin to complete the installation for you.


Step 3: Follow the On-Screen Installation Instructions

Once you're in the correct org and have the appropriate access:

  1. Click the installation link.

  2. Choose All Users for the users who should have access.



  1. View Package Components under Additional Details.
  2. Confirm and approve any third-party access prompts.

  3. Click Install.

The installation may take a few minutes. Once installed, you’ll see the WeGive4SF package listed in your Installed Packages.


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Insufficient Privileges: Confirm you’re using a System Administrator profile.

  • Package not found: Double-check that you're in the right environment (sandbox vs. production).

  • Stuck installing? Wait a few minutes and refresh your installed packages list.
