To start using the WeGive4SF integration, you’ll need to install our managed Salesforce package. Follow the instructions below based on the type of Salesforce org you’re using.
Step 1: Choose the Right Link
Depending on the environment, use the correct installation URL below:
Tip: Make sure you're logged into the appropriate Salesforce org before clicking the link.
Step 2: Use a Profile With Admin-Level Access
You must be logged in as a System Administrator to install the package. If you're seeing an error like:
“This package can’t be installed. Insufficient Privileges.”
That means the logged-in user doesn’t have the required permissions to install packages. You’ll need to either:
- Switch to a System Administrator profile, or
- Ask your Salesforce admin to complete the installation for you.
Step 3: Follow the On-Screen Installation Instructions
Once you're in the correct org and have the appropriate access:
- Click the installation link.
- Choose All Users for the users who should have access.
- View Package Components under Additional Details.
- Confirm and approve any third-party access prompts.
- Click Install.
The installation may take a few minutes. Once installed, you’ll see the WeGive4SF package listed in your Installed Packages.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Insufficient Privileges: Confirm you’re using a System Administrator profile.
- Package not found: Double-check that you're in the right environment (sandbox vs. production).
- Stuck installing? Wait a few minutes and refresh your installed packages list.
