Understanding P2P Presets
With WeGive's P2P Presets, you can build custom P2P Fundraise Templates that simplify the Peer-to-Peer fundraising process for your supporters. These preset templates empower your supporters to easily raise funds on your behalf, while allowing you to maintain control over important fundraiser aspects. These P2P Presets will live under the "Fundraise" button in your Donor Portal and on your Fundraiser Pages.
How to Create a P2P Preset Element
To begin developing a Peer-to-Peer fundraising template that your supporters can use to raise funds for your organization, navigate to the Elements > P2P Presets tab in your Dashboard. From the P2P Preset edit page, you can start customizing your P2P Fundraiser template, personalizing the template with your organization's name, start and end date, fundraising goal, background photo, and description text.
Additional Settings:
Fixed Fields:
If you check the Fixed box next to any field, that specific element will be locked, preventing your supporters from editing it when they create their P2P fundraiser.
If you enter information but leave the Fixed box unchecked, the preset details will appear as a default, but supporters can still modify them.
If you leave a field blank and unfixed, supporters will be able to fully customize that section without any pre-filled information.
Checkout:
Attach a specific checkout to your fundraiser to have a fully customized and branded experience for your donors when they give to your fundraiser.
Visibility:
Enabling the Fixed Leaderboard and Activity visibility settings will automatically enable showing top supporters and recent activity on any P2P Fundraiser your supporters create using your P2P Preset.
Related:
Under the Related tab, you can view all P2P fundraiser created using your P2P Preset template.
Implement:
The Implement button on the P2P Preset Element allows you to connect the template to a Campaign. Connecting the Campaign modifies the URL that the P2P Preset Element lives on and ensures that all proceeds collected from the P2P Preset Element will roll up into the related WeGive Campaign.
Understanding Your Default Donor Portal P2P Create
Your "Donor Portal P2P Create" is the default P2P Preset that is accessible to all your supporters from your Donor Portal's "Fundraise" button.
You can disable the ability to fundraise from the Donor Portal by going to the following section in your WeGive Dashboard: Donor Portal > Customization > Profiles > P2P Fundraising > No, hide the P2P Fundraiser widget in all profiles.
If left enabled, supporters can click on Fundraisers > Create New to start fundraising for your organization using the customizable Donor Portal P2P Create template.
To view a table of all existing P2P Fundraisers generated by your supporters, navigate to the Donor Portal > P2P Fundraisers tab in your Dashboard.
Connect Your P2P Preset to a Fundraiser Element
You can attach a P2P Preset Element to your Fundraiser page through the Implement <> button on a Fundraiser Element. Selecting a P2P Preset modifies the URL of the Fundraiser Element, and will then generate the connected P2P Preset when supporters click the "Fundraise" button on a Fundraiser Element.
How to Start a Fundraiser as a Supporter
Clicking the "Fundraise" button on the Donor Portal or on a Fundraiser Element page will allow supporters to create their own fundraiser for your organization.
They can customize any aspects of the P2P Preset that has is not fixed on your template.
If supporters click the "Fundraise" button from the Fundraiser Element page, this will create a P2P Fundraiser page connected to the overarching fundraiser. Supporters can send their P2P fundraiser to their friends, family, and peers. All proceeds collected from their fundraiser will display on the overarching Fundraiser Element page.
