      Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Fundraiser Template Guide

      The Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Fundraiser Template allows your supporters to create their own fundraising pages that they can share with friends, family, and peers — all in support of your organization. These templates can be accessed from the donor portal or any fundraiser page that includes a “Fundraise” button.

      Where to Start

      1. Go to the Elements Tab
         Navigate to the Elements section in your dashboard.

      2. Click on “P2P Presets”
         This is where you’ll create and manage your customizable peer-to-peer fundraiser templates.

      Creating a New P2P Preset

      1. Click the Blue Plus Sign (+)
         This opens the preset builder.

      2. Enter an Internal Name
         Example: Giving Tuesday P2P Template
        This is only visible to you and your team.

      3. Set Editable or Fixed Fields
         Use the Fix button to lock fields. If left unfixed, the supporter can edit the field.

      4. Set a Custom URL (External Name)
         Customize the URL slug (e.g., help-[donor_name]-raise-money-for-giving-tuesday). Use [donor_name] in brackets to prompt donors to personalize it.


      Set Campaign Details

      • Start and End Dates/Times
         Choose when the fundraiser will be active.

      • Fundraising Goal
         Example: $10,000

      • Select a Checkout
         Choose the checkout form that donations will be processed through.

      Optional Customizations

      • Show Leaderboard: Display other top fundraisers and donation activity.

      • Show Activity Feed: Display recent donations.

      • Add Image & Description: Customize the look and feel of the fundraiser page.

      Using the P2P Preset

      Once you’ve configured your preset:

      1. Click the Implement button to:

        • Copy the fundraiser creation link

        • Generate a QR code

        • Embed it in your website

        • Grab a pop-up code (optionally transparent background)

      2. This link takes donors to a Create a Fundraiser page where they can:

        • Enter their name and other details (if unfixed)

        • Personalize their fundraiser

        • Share their fundraiser with others

      Where Can This Be Used?

      • Donor Portal
         If you’ve connected a default preset in your Donor Portal Settings, supporters can create fundraisers directly through their portal using that default.

      • Fundraiser Pages
         You can attach a specific preset to a Fundraiser Element under the Implement tab. Any fundraisers created from that page will be linked to the main campaign.

      Managing P2P Fundraisers

      1. Track Fundraisers Linked to a Preset
        In the P2P Presets dashboard, go to the Related tab to view all fundraisers created from that preset.

      2. Use the Table View
         See an overview of each preset, including:

        • Preset ID

        • Name

        • Number of associated campaigns

        • Number of created fundraisers

      3. Quick Actions from the Table
        • Copy Link

        • Duplicate Preset

        • Archive

        • Filter by Status (Active, Default, Archived)

        • Filter by Campaigns or Fundraiser Count

      Summary

      The P2P Preset feature gives your supporters a quick and easy way to create and promote their own fundraiser pages — while keeping everything connected to your organization. Whether launched from a donor portal or a custom fundraiser page, all funds raised will roll up to your selected campaigns.
