What is the Pledge Table Overview?

The Pledge Table Overview is a feature in your platform used to manage and track pledges made by supporters. It provides insight into the pledge details, including the total amount pledged, how much has been paid, and where the pledge stands in its installment process. It helps you track the performance of each pledge and identify any drop-off points.

Key Features of the Pledge Table Overview

  • Pledge Management: From the pledge table, you can archive pledges, tag supporters, re-sync pledges with your CRM, or create new pledges.

  • Customizable Filters: You can filter pledges based on various criteria, such as:

    • Import status

    • View status (active, archived, ended)

    • Payment status (paid amount vs. pledged amount)

    • Donor information (donor, household)

    • Frequency of installments (one-time, four installments, eight installments, monthly)

    • Source of the pledge (email, campaign, etc.)

    • Integration status (error, canceled, running, etc.)

Creating and Managing Pledges

  1. Creating a Pledge:

    • Select the donor and navigate to the create pledge page.

    • Choose the amount, start and end dates, tax-deductibility, and installment frequency (one-time, 4 installments, 8 installments, or monthly).

    • Associate a campaign, designation, pledge element, and a description.

    • Add a Salesforce ID if necessary.

    • Choose whether the pledge is hidden, a tribute gift, or if it will be auto-billed.

  2. Managing Existing Pledges:

    • View details such as total pledged amount, amount paid, start and end dates, and frequency of installments.

    • Edit pledge details such as the pledge amount, tax status, installment frequency, campaign, or Salesforce ID.

    • You can also charge installments or change payment methods.

Pledge Table Overview Page

  • Columns Displayed:

    • Pledge ID: Unique identifier for each pledge.

    • Paid/Pledged: Total amount pledged and the amount that has been paid.

    • Start/End Date: Dates when the pledge starts and ends.

    • Supporter: The donor associated with the pledge.

    • Installment Frequency: The frequency of the pledge payments (e.g., one-time, monthly).

  • Detailed Pledge View:

    • Clicking on a pledge ID opens the pledge details page, where you can edit the pledge or charge installments.

    • Key sections:

      • Pledge Overview: View amounts pledged and paid, and other details like campaign associations and whether the pledge is hidden or a tribute.

      • Payment Details: View payment status, payment method, fees, and whether the fees are covered by the donor.

      • Audit Logs: Track changes made to the pledge, including who made the change and when.

      • Integration Logs: See the integration status and associated actions, including any errors or successful actions.

Charging an Installment

  • To charge an installment, click on the "Charge Installment" button.

  • Choose the amount to charge, decide if you want to include the fair market value or tax-deductible status, and associate the pledge with a campaign or fundraiser.

  • Add payment details, such as payment method and fee coverage, and then confirm the charge.

Additional Customizations and Options

  • Tribute Gifts: If the pledge is a tribute gift, you can specify the recipient, add a message, and choose whether the tribute is online.

  • Automatic Billing: You can set up auto-billing for the pledge installments, removing the need for manual billing.

  • Payment Method Options: Supporters can add their preferred payment methods directly through the pledge details page.
