The Profile feature in WeGive allows each user to view and manage their individual account settings, including contact information and access permissions. This is especially important for platform administrators and users who need to update their credentials or understand their access level.
Where to Find Your Profile
To access your profile:
- Navigate to the Settings tab in the left-hand navigation.
- Click on Profile.
This will open your personal profile page within WeGive.
What You Can Manage in Profile
On your Profile page, you can view and update the following information:
1. Access Level
- Your assigned role (e.g., Admin, Marketing, Developer) will be displayed.
- This determines the features and sections you have permission to access in the WeGive dashboard.
2. Personal Information
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
You can edit these fields to keep your contact information up to date. This information is used for user identification and internal communication.
3. Email Notification Settings
- The profile includes settings for rollup emails and payout email notifications.
- These fields were previously used to trigger email alerts for events like:
- New donations
- New fundraisers
- New donors
- Payouts
- New donations
Note: These email notification settings have been deprecated and are no longer in use. This functionality has been replaced by the Exports Table, which provides structured reports instead of direct email notifications.
As such, it is safe to leave the rollup email and payout email fields blank—they no longer trigger any system messages.
Best Practices
- Keep your email address and phone number current to ensure account recovery and system alerts (where applicable) work correctly.
- Use your official organization email for consistency if multiple users are managing your nonprofit or company’s activity in WeGive.
- If your access level seems incorrect, contact your team’s WeGive administrator to request a role change.
