Resyncing Data from Salesforce to WeGive

If you need to manually resync data from Salesforce into WeGive — for example, after making bulk updates in Salesforce — you can do so from the Salesforce Integration settings page. This allows you to ensure your latest Salesforce data is reflected in WeGive.

When to Resync

You may want to manually trigger a sync:

  • After importing or updating a large number of records in Salesforce

  • After fixing sync errors

  • When updating field mappings and wanting to ensure all fields reflect the change

Note: Syncing from Salesforce will temporarily pause the active sync process until the manual sync finishes. For that reason, we recommend doing this at the end of your workday when no one is actively working in the system.

How to Resync Data

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Salesforce in your WeGive dashboard.

  2. Click Sync From Salesforce.

  3. Choose one of the sync options:

    • Sync all: Pulls all data from Salesforce into WeGive (can take longer).

    • Sync since last update: Only pulls in changes made since the last sync (recommended for routine updates).

  4. Click Confirm to begin the sync.

Once started, the sync will run in the background. You can continue using the dashboard, but note that new changes from Salesforce won’t be pulled in again until this sync completes.

Tips & Considerations

  • Make sure all Salesforce users have finished making updates before syncing.

  • Large data sets may take several minutes to complete.

  • If you encounter issues, check the Integration Logs for error details.
