Understanding Your Dashboard Metrics:

Your WeGive Dashboard provides an overview of donations and donor activity. Here’s a breakdown of the key metrics and how to use them effectively:

1. Date Range

  • You can adjust the date range at the top right of your Dashboard to view data for different time periods, making it easy to compare performance over time.

2. Gross Donation Volume

  • Definition: The total amount of donations received before taxes, fees, or deductions.

  • Use: This shows the full amount your organization has raised.

3. Net Donation Volume

  • Definition: The amount left after all taxes, fees, and deductions are removed.

  • Use: This shows the actual funds your organization retains.

4. Recurring Donations Volume

  • Definition: The total value of donations given on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).

  • Use: This shows how much ongoing support your organization receives.

5. First-Time Donors

  • Definition: Donors who made their first donation during the selected period.

  • Use: Track how many new supporters you’re attracting.

6. Recurring Donors

  • Definition: Donors who give regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).

  • Use: Shows how many supporters are consistently contributing.

7. One-Time Donors

  • Definition: Supporters who made a single donation during the selected period.

  • Use: Understand the number of one-time contributions.

8. Returning Donors

  • Definition: Donors who contributed during this period and have donated before.

  • Use: Helps you measure donor retention.

9. Dashboard Percentages

  • Definition: Compares current data to the previous period. For example, if you had 11 donors this month and 10 last month, it shows a +10% change.

  • Use: Provides a quick view of trends and growth.

10. Recent Donations List

  • Definition: Shows the 10 most recent donations and their amounts.

  • Use: Helps you stay updated on the latest donor activity.

Regularly checking these metrics helps you track your organization's progress and make informed decisions to improve fundraising.
